This is a personal developer portfolio — not a product, not a platform. There is no user login, no account, no tracking. Here is exactly what happens when you visit this site.

01 / Data Collection
What I collect — and what I don't
This site does not use cookies, local user accounts, session tokens, or any form of user tracking. I do not collect your name, email, or any personal data unless you explicitly submit the contact form.
If you use the contact form, the information you enter — your name, email address, inquiry topic, and message — is forwarded directly to my personal email inbox via Resend (a transactional email service). This data is not stored in any database on my end. It goes straight to my email, period.
02 / AI Chat
The AI assistant on this site
This portfolio features a built-in AI chat assistant — "Gaurav AI" — that answers questions about my work and projects. When you type a message, it is sent to an AI API (OpenAI or Google Gemini) to generate a response.
Your messages are not stored anywhere on my server — the conversation exists only in your browser session.
Messages are sent to OpenAI / Google Gemini for inference. These providers have their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
A temporary, in-memory IP-based rate limit is applied server-side to prevent abuse. This IP is never logged to a file or database.
Closing the chat clears the conversation. There is no chat history.
03 / Hosting & Metrics
Vercel & infrastructure
This site is hosted on Vercel. As with all web hosting, your browser sends standard HTTP request data — IP address, browser user-agent, and the URL you accessed — to Vercel's servers for serving the page. This is normal infrastructure behavior, not something I actively collect.
Vercel may log aggregate, anonymized usage metrics for performance monitoring (e.g., page load times, regions). I do not have a separate analytics tool installed on this site. I do not run Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any third-party tracking scripts.

Links to third-party sites
This portfolio links out to external platforms — GitHub, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), LeetCode, Instagram, and project live URLs. Once you leave this site, their own privacy policies apply. I am not responsible for data practices on those external platforms.
05 / Your Privacy
The short version
You can browse this entire portfolio completely anonymously. I have no interest in tracking you, profiling you, or selling any data. There is none to sell. This site exists to share my work — nothing more.
